Ride 'em, Jewboy! My former summer camp counselor (and radical country music star, raconteur, mystery novel author, and all-around gadfly) Kinky Friedman, is planning to run for governor of Texas. If I were still living in TX, I'd vote for him, not because he's a Member of the Tribe or because I am nostalgic for Echo Hill Ranch, but because Kinky is my kind of politician.

I wonder if Willie Nelson is going to stump for him. . . .
