More Lag B'Omer.

From what I can tell, most Diaspora Jews ignore this holiday; most Israeli Jews go to bonfires. (At least, that's the portrait the blogosphere paints.) Hence the relative paucity of American posts about it (though here's mine), and the relative plenty of Israeli ones...like these thoughts about the verse which says Akiva's students were killed because they failed to give honor to each other. Or this post about how Israeli holiday bonfires are starting to feature roasted marshmallows. (I'm pretty amused by the whole holiday shopping cart theft thing.)
