American Physicians Fellowship for Medicine in Israel is "an organization of North American physicians and health care professionals dedicated to advancing the state of medical education, research and health care in Israel." On their site you can find an Emergency Medical Volunteer Registry. If you are an anesthesiologist, pediatric ICU specialist, plastic surgeon, dialysis nurse, or one of several other specialities, you can sign up to be on call in case there is a shortage of medical personnel in Israel.
