Open to interpretation? This lecture given at Ithaca College, on October 29th (and posted on FreeRepublic.com) asks just how exceptional is Islam compared to other religions, when it comes to poor interpretations.

Us defiling Jews: The AFP helpfully relays the demands of Jerusalem Mufti Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, who warned Sunday that Jews and other non-Muslims should not be allowed to enter the Haram Al Sharif Mosque compound. “We oppose in the name of believers that the doors of the Haram Al Sharif are opened to non-Muslims because the general situation does not permit it,” Sheikh Sabri told official Palestinian radio.
